Checkout Operator - Casual Contract

Mitre 10 Waiuku is looking for an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic person to join us and work within an organisation that is known as New Zealand’s most trusted home improvement store. This role will be a casual contract, helping us to keep our store and customers moving when cover is needed. It will involve direct customer interaction, checkout sales, and handling various ad-hoc situations that arise daily.

Responsibilities
  • Providing the highest standard of customer service.
  • Ensuring all checkout transactions are processed quickly and efficiently.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Previous retail experience at the checkout as Cashier or in a similar role is essential. Experience in working a customer facing role would be seen as favourable.
  • Cheerful personality, enthusiastic and positive energy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Hours cannot be guaranteed or fixed; must have a flexible approach and availability to working hours, including weekends. Casual, on call basis.
