We're on the lookout for a warm, passionate individual to join our small, close-knit preschool in Tawa.

Whether you're a certified kaiako (teacher), currently unqualified, or considering training in early childhood education in the future – we'd love to hear from you!

This role is primarily with our infants (3 months to 2-year-olds), but we're flexible. If your experience lies with older tamariki, we still encourage you to apply.

The hours are Mon to Fri, 40 hours per week and the start date is flexible as we're focused on finding the right fit.

Our curriculum follows Te Whāriki and is inspired by elements of the Reggio Emilia approach.

We prioritise a high teacher-to-child ratio to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our tamariki and to support our kaiako in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a warm and friendly nature
  • Loves tamariki and shows empathy
  • Has good attention to detail with care routines e.g. bottles, nappies, toileting, kai times, etc
  • Can be flexible and adaptable
  • Has a good work ethic
  • Can be a team player with a strong sense of initiative in meeting challenges and embracing change
  • Loves being creative with art, music and resources.

We will provide you:

  • Full pay parity
  • Support with registration and professional growth cycle
  • A work/life balance to get all work done in work time
  • An abundance of resources to create exciting activities
  • Paid first aid course.

If this sounds like you, we would love receive your application via email.

Please email your cover letter and CV to the centre manager at reggiobambini@gmail.com including your past experience (including at least the last 5 years of work history to meet safety vetting requirements), qualifications (if any) and a little bit about yourself. We look forward to hearing from you!
