Job summary

Te Puawaitanga o Ngati Ruanui Early Childhood Education Centre in Hawera, South Taranaki, is seeking a qualified ECE Teacher or Teacher-in-Training to join our dedicated team. The role entails delivering engaging, respectful learning experiences for tamariki and whānau.

The successful candidate will have a Level 7 ECE qualification (or be a second/third year Teacher-in-Training), knowledge of Te Whāriki, planning and assessment, and a current First Aid certificate.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 7 ECE qualification with current certification, or is a second/third year Teacher-in-Training.
• Sound knowledge of Te Whariki, group curriculum design, assessment and planning.
• First Aid Certificate required; understanding tikanga Māori and Te Reo is desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tamariki have positive communication and intentional learning experiences.
• Comply with Ministry of Education standards and regulations.
• Represent Te Puawaitanga ECE in the community and with whānau.
• Keep tamariki safe from harm and advocate for their needs.
• Deliver learning using the Te Whāriki curriculum.
