City Children's Centre is a not-for-profit community based centre, located in Napier’s CBD. We are run by a Parent Board of Trustees who govern across our two centres (our sister centre – Port Ahuriri Children's Centre), who are committed to providing quality over profit.

Our centre caters for children from birth to 6 years old in three separate rooms: Nursery Room, Toddler Room and Kindergarten Room. You will be working alongside the room team leaders during operating hours of 7.30am to 5.30pm weekdays. This position is currently for the Kindergarten Room.

The successful applicant will need the following skills, training and personal attributes:

  • Be a vibrant, enthusiastic team player who is reliable, flexible and hardworking
  • Hold a Diploma/Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Early Childhood Education and be registered (provisionally or full) with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
