Te Whānau Tupu Ngātahi o Aotearoa – Playcentre Aotearoa seeks a Centre Coordinator in Balclutha to work with centre whānau, providing pedagogical guidance and leadership to ensure Playcentre philosophy informs sessions and enriches children’s learning and development.
The role is permanent during term time with 5 hours per week, part-time, starting once appointed. Potential for additional hours as a Kaimahi, to be discussed with the successful applicant.

Working in collaboration with centre whānau and other centre support staff, the Centre Coordinator focuses on building adult capability and confidence. This enables adults to progressively take greater leadership in sessions and centre responsibilities, supporting a whānau-led environment.
As the Person Responsible on session, this role provides high quality support and pedagogical guidance to Playcentre whānau. The Centre Coordinator ensures sessions and programmes reflect Playcentre Philosophy and enriches children’s learning and development.
