About the role:
We're on the hunt for an energetic, people-focused Cellar Door Manager to take the reins of our distillery experience.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a varied and rewarding role where you'll lead tastings, host events, manage all cellar door operations - from bookings to stock prep, to daily service and cellar door bottle sales. You'll be a confident leader, a natural storyteller, and a hands-on mentor who can seamlessly manage customer experience, operations, and team coordination. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role and includes some evening and weekend work to support tastings, events, and operational needs.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the Cellar Door experience with professionalism and personality, hosting tastings, tours, and cocktail service that leaves a lasting impression
Contribute creative ideas to marketing campaigns and promotional activity, ensuring alignment with customer experience and brand
Take the reins on coordinating and hosting private events, corporate functions, and regional activations, bringing our brand to life beyond the cellar door
Oversee all visitor and client communications, ensuring every enquiry and booking is handled with care and efficiency
Oversee stock prep and presentation, working with the team to ensure tasting experiences and displays are always on point
Lead, develop, and coach the Cellar Door team to exceed sales KPIs through exceptional service, storytelling, and seizing every opportunity to connect
Manage cellar door budgets, monitor stock levels, and track sales performance to support smart decision-making
Report on key metrics and customer insights, feeding back to the wider team to drive continuous improvement
Be a key part of the leadership team, collaborating across the business to foster a high-performing, connected, and values-driven workplace
Exceptional leadership ability and drive with a collaborative, hands-on approach
Outstanding customer service skills with a natural flair for storytelling
Confident leader with experience running tastings, tours, or hospitality events
Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards of presentation
Great organisational skills and confidence managing bookings and systems
Holds (or is willing to obtain) a Liquor License and Duty Manager Certificate
Proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused, someone who takes ownership
