Job description

Our client, a global tech firm, is seeking a CCIE Network Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg (Hybrid) on a contract basis. They offer stability, growth opportunities, attractive rates, and a great working environment.

The ideal CCIE Network Engineer will possess the following competencies:

  1. Routing and Switching: Mastery of various routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies, with the ability to configure and manage complex network environments.
  2. Software-Defined Networking (SDN): Ability to design, deploy, and manage SDN solutions.
  3. Network Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in automating network tasks.
  4. Quality of Service (QoS): Capability to configure and manage network traffic prioritization.
  5. Multicast and VPN Technologies: Skills in multicast routing (PIM, IGMP) and VPN solutions (IPsec, SSL, MPLS VPNs) for secure communication.
  6. Cloud Integration and Hybrid Networks: Knowledge of integrating network infrastructure with cloud environments, understanding hybrid cloud architectures, and designing networks spanning on-premises and cloud.
  7. Network Infrastructure Design: Ability to plan, design, and deploy scalable and resilient network architectures, selecting appropriate hardware and software solutions.
  8. Troubleshooting: Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.
  9. Data Center Technologies: Skills in designing and managing data center networks, including VLANs, VxLANs, fabric extenders, ensuring high availability and scalability.
