About the work

Duties may include:

• Working inside freezer holds and cold environments
• Unloading shipments and freight
• Lifting and moving boxes weighing 20-30kg
• Scanning and labelling products
• Loading and unloading goods
• General warehouse and labouring duties
• Following site safety procedures and instructions

Shifts can be up to 12 hours, with start times generally between 6:00am and 8:00am, depending on the job.

The majority of work is Monday to Friday, with weekend work generally not required.

What we're looking for

We are looking for workers who are:

• Strong and physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working long shifts when required
• Able to work in cold/freezer environments
• Happy to do a variety of physical labouring tasks
• Able to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team
• Available for casual work throughout the busy season

No previous wharf experience is necessarily required – attitude, reliability and a willingness to work hard are what we're looking for.

Requirements

Pay

$25.33 - $28.67 per hour, depending on the role and duties.

Hours are casual and will vary depending on client requirements, so there is no guarantee of hours each week.
