Job summary

HealthCare NZ is seeking empathetic Support Workers to assist clients at home and in the community. Join a large NZ-wide provider offering flexibility with permanent full-time and part-time options, rostered shifts and career development.

You will support clients to live independently, following care plans with responsibilities including meal prep, outings, medication assistance, personal care and home management. A NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport are often required.

HealthCare NZ is a leading provider of in-home and community-based health, rehabilitation, nursing, mental health and disability support. We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Workers across our different services including Community & Rehabilitation, Disability and Social Services. Whether you are looking for flexibility around other commitments or would prefer regular rostered shifts, we have a variety of permanent full-time and part-time options on offer.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
