Job summary

Community Connections is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for casual weekend and sleepover shifts in New Plymouth, Taranaki. You will join a values-driven disability support provider delivering person-centered support in the community.

We value kindness, consistency and building strong relationships. You will promote independence, respect routines and help individuals stay active, outdoors and connected in their community.

Qualifications

• Full NZ Driver's Licence.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Willingness to undergo criminal and Oranga Tamariki checks.
• Availability to work weekend and overnight shifts.
• Knowledge of disability and understanding of challenging behaviour.
• A drive to help people succeed in their wider community.
• Understanding of autism.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence and respect routines to help people live in the community.
• Support across services to cover short-term vacancies, including weekends and sleepovers.
• Build strong relationships and support outdoor activities.
