Job summary

Geneva Healthcare is seeking Casual Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based support during the Christmas and New Year period in Tauranga. You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, medication support, and accompany clients to appointments.

This role offers flexible hours, ongoing training, and a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference. Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable, and good communicators, with experience in healthcare or disability support

Qualifications

• Compassionate and motivated to support others.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Have or be eligible for a New Zealand work visa and police vetting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, person-centred support in clients' homes and communities.
• Assist with personal care and medication support when needed.
• Help with meal preparation and light household tasks.
• Support social participation and accompany clients to appointments and outings.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and manual handling as required.

About the Role

As a Casual Support Worker, you will provide practical and person-centered support to clients in their homes and communities. Duties may include:

• Supporting clients with community participation and social activities
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Medication support
• Meal preparation and household tasks
• Accompanying clients to appointments and outings
• Manual handling and transfers where required

What We're Looking For

You will be:

• Compassionate, reliable, and motivated to support others
• Available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• A strong communicator with a positive attitude
• Experienced in healthcare, disability support, or caregiving (preferred but not essential)
• Hold a Full New Zealand Driver License and have reliable transport
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
