Job summary

HealthCare NZ in New Plymouth is seeking a casual community Support Worker to assist clients with daily living, meals, and mobility within home and community settings.

You’ll work across Blagdon, Merriland, Lepperton and nearby areas with guaranteed hours, travel allowance, and access to health insurance benefits. This role focuses on compassionate, practical support and client wellbeing.

We’re on the lookout for empathetic, passionate, and motivated Casual community Support Worker to join our team in New Plymouth.

We are looking for casual support workers in Blagdon, Merri lands, Lepperton, Upper & Lower Vogel town, Burgess Park and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do: As a Support Worker, you’ll help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives through practical and emotional support. Tasks may include:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Medication support
• Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.)
• Bowel cares,Manual handling, and hoist transfers
• Home management tasks

What We’re Looking For:

• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
• Previous healthcare or caregiving experience (preferred but not essential)
• Great communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends
• Healthcare qualifications (advantageous)
• Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport (most roles)
