Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Waikato Hospital in Hamilton is seeking a Registered Nurse for a casual position in Ward 14 (M14). You will deliver specialized nursing care in a fast-paced surgical setting, focusing on cardiothoracic and vascular patients to improve outcomes.

Joining a progressive nursing team, you will be supported with comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional development, while contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Surgical nursing experience, preferably in Cardio & Vascular surgery.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 2–3 years in an acute care setting in Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Must be able to work rostered shifts, including nights and weekends.

This surgical ward is at the forefront of our Critical Care, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, and Vascular (C4TVS) cluster, where your expertise will directly impact the lives of patients undergoing crucial treatments. About the Team/Service

We provide care for patients throughout Te Manawa Taki Region requiring cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. This is the largest surgical ward in the hospital with 34 beds.
