Job Description

About the Role:

  • Supervise and assist children in programme activities.
  • Ensure that the working environment is kept clean, tidy, hygienic and safe for all children, staff, parents and visitors to the programme at all times.
  • Assist the Programme Manager as required to run the daily format as scheduled as per duties outlined on the task list.
  • Report back to the Programme Manager with any concerns regarding a child or behaviour issues etc.

Hours of work

Successful candidates will be required to work around the sites mentioned below. To ensure flexibility and ease of travel between locations, having access to a reliable vehicle is essential.

As a Casual Programme Assistant, you will be schedule to work on a need on need basis. Only on Monday - Friday between the before & afterschool schedule. Majority of your shift if you have been rostered to work is during the after school shift.

  • After school schedule: From/ Between 2.30pm - 6pm
  • Before school schedule: 7am - 8.30am (only if required)
  • Holiday programmes hours may be available

Location of work: You will likely be rostered across various sites within the North Shore region. This flexibility will provide you with the opportunity to work more hours. You will be expected to work across the following sites below:

  • Mairangi Bay
  • St Leonard's Road
  • Windy Ridge
  • Birkdale Primary
  • St Mary's Northcote
  • Glamorgan
  • Torbay
  • Coatesville

Qualifications

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has,

  • Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
  • Be able to commute/ work around the sites above.
  • Have keen interest to work in similar industries
  • have previous experience working with children, it can be from babysitting or any volunteered experience.
