Job summary

Livestock Improvement Corporation is seeking reliable people to join our casual on-farm team across the Southland region. You’ll work outdoors with farmers and animals, supporting herd testing, sampling, audits and other on-farm tasks as needs arise.

This on-call role offers flexible hours to fit around other commitments. No prior dairy farming experience is required, as full training is provided; you’ll gain hands-on experience in New Zealand’s dairy industry while staying active.

Qualifications

• Have a positive 'can do' attitude and learn quickly.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Be physically fit and active for outdoor duties.
• Self-motivated and professional approach.
• Hold a current, full drivers' licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Assist with herd test support.
• Assist with DNA sampling.
• Assist with herd audits.
• Assist with animal weighing.
• Support other seasonal and on-farm projects.
