Overview

Casual Occupational Health Nurse required for our Marlborough office.

Precious People Occupational Health Services have been a locally owned Nelson and Marlborough Occupational Health business for over 25 years. We are a leading provider of workplace health, safety and wellness solutions for our region’s workforce, our services cover a broad range of workplace health, safety, and wellness areas. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated occupational health nurse to be part of our Marlborough team. We are a specialist Occupational Health Nurse led business with an office in Nelson and Marlborough. We have a casual position available to the right person.

The Role

This position will provide the successful applicant with an interesting and varied role that will be based 100% in the private sector.

The nurse’s key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pre-employment medicals
  • Drugs and alcohol testing
  • Wellness assessments
  • Vaccinations (seasonal flu)
  • Education one to one, possible groups if happy to do so
  • Respiratory Mask Fit Testing
  • Ergonomic assessment
The Person

The successfully appointed Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional and professional health and wellness services to our Marlborough clients and the management of daily activities within a supportive environment.

Our ideal candidate will have
  • Qualifications and experience working in the field of occupational health or;
  • Senior Registered Nurse with experience in a public or private health setting
  • A strong clinical background
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with applications
  • Great attention to detail
  • A friendly non-judgmental attitude
  • Able to work independently and have their own vehicle

They will be a part of a small team made up of two RNs, administration staff and manager; the successful applicant will be able to work independently, be reliable, honest, and punctual, and have a genuine passion for health, education and wellness in the workplace environment.
