Job summary

Metlifecare is seeking a Night Porter to work in our West Auckland villages. You will join a well-run team ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents, with responsibilities including general cleaning, security, and related administration duties.

Ideal candidates will have security experience, a current First Aid certificate, and be highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of clear communication. Training and development through MetFlex support your career path in aged care.

Qualifications

• Experience working in security is highly desirable.
• Have a current First Aid certificate.
• Physically able to support residents in any emergency.
• Be super organised and self-motivated.
• Have good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Have impeccable personal presentation.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the village site ensuring a safe environment for our residents.
• Answer emergency call outs and call for assistance from emergency services.
• Assist with night care needs of our residents.
• Provide direction as necessary to residents and visitors.
• Actioning administration duties and general cleaning on the premise.

• Be in control of your roster- shifts that suit your lifestyle and availability
• We have a dedicated internal casual team (MetFlex) that will look after your training and development, working schedule, work support etc.
• Learn while you earn
• Ongoing casual shifts for all Villages in your local area - our villages are all different and bespoke
• Permanent roles available if you want to move from the casual position
• We will develop and train you in the career path within Aged Care

About the role

We are looking for Night Porter to work in our villages in West Auckland. Ideally someone that is available during weekdays. You will join a well-run team ensuring a safe and secure environment for the village and our residents. You'll be responsible for general cleaning, security and completing related administration duties. This is a rewarding role where you make a difference to the lives of our residents who call Metlifecare home.

Some of the great work you will be doing includes:

• Patrol the village site ensuring a safe environment for our residents

• Assist with night care needs of our residents
• Provide direction as necessary to residents and visitors

About you

To be successful in this role you'll enjoy fostering and maintaining relationships with our residents, be able to remain calm and make decisions under pressure and have an honest nature.
