We have aCASUAL opportunity for a reliable and hardworking person to assist our Inwards Goods Store and Dispatch teams - to provide support with sporadic increased work volume and cover for annual leave.
The shift times are as follows;
- Dispatch Loading - 1.00pm - 9:30pm, Monday to Friday.
- Stores - 4am - 12.30pm & 10am - 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
These hands-on roles require lifting so you must be physically fit. We do have mechanical lifting equipment to help with larger products.
It's your attitude that really matters! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with the following skills, experience and attributes;
The key responsibilities in the Inwards Goods Store role will include:
- Loading/unloading glass packs from containers and trucks as well as completing any necessary documentation
- Receipting goods into the system
- Ensuring all goods are labelled correctly and put away in the right place via the WMS (warehouse management system)
- Using mechanical lifting gear to store the glass in the right location
- Proactively supplying other departments with glass to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Regular monitoring of stock to ensure sufficient levels are maintained.
- Ensuring bio security compliance is maintained to a high standard.
The key responsibilities in the Dispatch Loader role will include:
- Selecting and loading glass products into / onto trucks.
- Safely securing glass products to prevent movement during travel.
- Glass product consolidation (on trolleys).
- Assisting with unloading glass from trucks on inter-branch transfer.
- Using mechanical lifting gear to move glass.
To succeed in these roles you will had previous experience in a similar role devanning containers or loading trucks as well as the following attributes:
- Gantry crane license and experience advantageous (however not essentialas we can train you)
- MPI biosecurity accreditation an advantage
- Warehouse management systems experience using handheld devices
- Strong health and safety focus, understanding and execution
- Good numeracy skills and understanding of English language
- Physically fit - you are on your feet for most of the day
- Flexible to work overtime or outside the stated hours from time to time
- Ability to talk to and listen to different people from different walks of life
- Ability to read, understand and follow technical instructions is essential
- Self motivated, energetic and enthusiastic team player with good time management skills
- Excellent communicator with strong customer service ethic and service delivery focus
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 25kg regularly
