Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Nelson Hospital invites applications for a Casual Hospital Dental Assistant. You will provide chairside assistance to dentists and specialists, supporting both in-patient and out-patient treatments, across clinics and theatres, with a focus on patient comfort.

The role is casual, with shifts usually Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, no on-call work, and includes limited administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Previous dental experience essential.
• Good standard of oral and written communication.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at time of applying.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance for dentists and dental specialists.
• Support treatments in clinics and operating theatres.
• Assist with administrative duties as required.
• Work across Nelson Hospital and occasional wider region.
