Job summary

Lumino Kaitaia is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant for a casual position in Kaitaia. You will work with our clinicians to support dental procedures, handle sterilisation, and help maintain a welcoming patient experience. Training will be provided, and you may take on some reception duties as needed.

Based locally or within commuting distance, you will bring great communication, organisational and customer service skills, along with computer literacy to our busy team in Northland.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in computer software applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• No prior dental experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians during dental procedures, such as taking X-rays and preparing materials.
• Greet patients, review their medical history and answer questions.
• Provide patient care and education on oral hygiene.
• Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for use.
