Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in Dunedin seeks an energetic Activities Coordinator to design and deliver engaging programs for residents, supporting wellbeing, connection and joy. You’ll plan events, coordinate outings, and create welcoming environments that make every day meaningful.

Ideally you have experience in events, hospitality or aged care, a positive attitude, and current First Aid. A LCQ qualification or willingness to undertake training, and a full driver’s licence are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in events, hospitality or aged care preferred.
• Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• LCQ qualification or willingness to undertake training.
• Full driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a diverse range of activities, events and entertainment for residents.
• Organise celebrations and themed events (e.g., Mid-Winter Christmas, Chinese New Year).
• Support residents' individual needs and maintain strong relationships with families.
• Create engaging environments and decorations for village events.
• Facilitate exercise programmes, recreational activities, and resident outings.
