Job summary

The Harvey Norman Christchurch store is hiring for a part-time weekend position in the Electrical department. You will help ensure a smooth checkout experience and support day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on retail experience.

Training will be provided on our systems and processes to help you succeed, and you’ll have opportunities to develop customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Entry-level role focused on delivering friendly customer service.
• Training provided on Harvey Norman systems and processes.
• Willingness to learn and develop retail skills.

Responsibilities

• Process sales, vouchers, returns and credits at the POS.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain POS supplies and eftpos dockets.
• Support display and organisation of the Electrical department.
• Assist with stocktakes and day-to-day tasks.
• Must be available to work Sundays and public holidays.

About the Role:

This is an entry‑level, customer‑focused role where you’ll ensure every customer enjoys a smooth and positive checkout experience. You’ll receive training on our systems and processes to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process sales, gift vouchers, returns and credit claims using POS systems.
• Always provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain point of sale supplies including EFTPOS, finance and docket books.
• Support the presentation and organisation of the Electrical department.
• Assist with stocktakes and general operational tasks.
• This role is required to work Sunday and public holidays.

About You:

We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys helping customers and working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
