Job summary

ALH Queenstown is seeking an experienced carpenter/hammerhand to join our Queenstown team on residential and commercial projects. You will read plans, perform formwork, framing and finishing work to a high standard, and work safely on site.

We offer weekly pay, 40+ hours per week, immediate starts, PPE provided, and ongoing work across Queenstown with supportive crews. Applicants must have NZ working rights and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Previous carpentry experience including formwork, framing and finishing tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/plans.
• Commitment to high workmanship standards and safety on site.
• Strong work ethic with reliable transportation.
• NZ working rights are required.

Responsibilities

• Site establishment, formwork, framing and finishing work.
• Reading and interpreting plans and construction drawings.
• Completing carpentry work to a high standard.
• Working safely while following site health and safety requirements.
• Assisting with general site duties as required.
• Working alongside other trades to keep projects running smoothly.
