Job summary

Extrastaff Limited is seeking experienced Carpenters for nationwide roles across New Zealand. Positions are full-time and permanent with site placement based on project demand. Expect 2+ years carpentry experience or Level 4 qualification, independence, and a strong work ethic. PPE and tools are provided on site.

Responsibilities include shaping materials, installing fixtures, and finishing woodwork across diverse projects, with safety rules and records management expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in carpentry or relevant occupation or Level 4 qualification.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to new environments.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines or power saws.
• Install structures or fixtures and finish surfaces of woodwork.
• Study drawings and create forming shutters for concrete work; pour large concrete jobs.
• Assemble and fasten materials to build frameworks or props; use screws, nails, dowels or glue.
• Maintain records and present written progress reports.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean work environment.
