Job summary

AWF Group in Wellington is seeking a Commercial Carpenter to support projects with structural carpentry, temporary works, site preparation and rebuilding activities on challenging commercial projects. You will construct temporary structures, read plans, perform framing and demolition tasks, operate tools, and work with demolition crews.

A safe, clean site and adherence to health and environmental procedures are essential; successful applicants will pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Carpenter.
• Experience working on commercial construction or demolition projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of building practices and site safety requirements.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual work.
• Full driver's licence.
• Site Safe Passport (or equivalent) or willingness to obtain.
