Are you a hands-on construction professional with experience in pre-fabrication? Here at Mills, we are on the lookout for a skilled and reliable Construction Worker to join our client, a well-established team delivering high-quality modular and prefabricated building solutions right here in Christchurch.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, has a keen eye for detail and ensures health and safety is always at the forefront of their mind. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, factory-based environment that manufactures precision-built components used in a variety of residential and commercial construction projects across New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble prefabricated building components with accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to follow construction plans
  • Operate hand and power tools safely
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

About You:

  • Proven experience in construction, preferably within a prefabrication or modular building setting
  • Competent using hand tools and power tools
  • Physically fit, reliable, and hardworking
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to specifications
  • Strong commitment to health and safety practices
  • A great team player with a can-do attitude

Bonus Points For:

  • Previous experience in a factory-based building environment
  • Forklift license or Site Safe certification
  • Carpentry or building qualifications
