Job summary

A leading retirement community provider in Papamoa is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to enhance residents' lives. You will be instrumental in delivering personal care and support in varied daily activities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in aged care, especially with dementia, and excellent communication skills. A permanent full-time position with a unique night shift pattern of 4 nights on and 2 days off is offered, alongside attractive benefits.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Papamoa village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our residents’ daily lives.

Typical Duties

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc.

This is a permanent full-time role, working a roster of four nights on and two days off.

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll Bring With You

• Experience in aged care or a similar role, and with Dementia care qualifications.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Ability and commitment to work a roster pattern of 4 nights on and 2 days off
