Job summary

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children seeks a Care and Protection Coordinator for the Manawatū region to lead Family Group Conferences and co-design safety plans for tamariki and rangatahi. You will work with whānau, hapū, iwi and professionals, coordinating with community partners and maintaining a strong focus on outcomes for children.

You will be highly organised, deadline-driven and culturally aware, with excellent communication, report-writing and problem-solving skills, and a current NZ

Qualifications

• Strong facilitation, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience/qualifications in social services.
• Demonstrated ability to work with Māori and diverse cultures.
• Moderate Te Reo Māori understanding, tikanga and views.
• Experience working with community networks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to write reports and plans to a high standard.
• Strong problem-solving and judgement calls.
• Integrity when working with whānau and colleagues.
• Team player with willingness to go beyond job description.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence and right to work in NZ.
