Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health NZ is seeking a Cardiology Imaging Fellow for a two-year fixed-term fellowship at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, North Island. The role focuses on advanced cardiac imaging across echocardiography, CT coronary angiography (CTCA), and cardiac MRI, with involvement in interpretation, vetting and reporting.

You will work alongside cardiologists and the wider cardiac team to develop expertise in cardiac imaging while contributing to a busy clinical service in a large hospital

Qualifications

• Advanced training in cardiology
• Registration with the Medical Council of NZ
• Strong interest and experience in cardiac imaging

Responsibilities

• Assist in imaging interpretation, vetting and reporting.
• Develop expertise in cardiac imaging modalities (echocardiography, CTCA, cardiac MRI).

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Cardiology Imaging Fellow to join our Cardiology team at Waikato Hospital for a two-year fixed-term fellowship.

The role provides dedicated experience in cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, CT coronary angiography (CTCA), cardiac MRI and other cardiac imaging modalities.

Working alongside our cardiologists and wider cardiac team, you will contribute to imaging interpretation, vetting and reporting while continuing to develop your expertise in cardiac imaging.

About You

You will have advanced training in cardiology, registration with the Medical Council of NZ, and a strong interest in cardiac imaging. You will enjoy working collaboratively within a busy clinical service and be keen to further develop your skills and experience in this area.
