Job summary

Gerber & Hutchison Cardiovascular Ltd in Hawke's Bay is seeking a cardiologist to provide specialist outpatient assessments, investigations and management for a broad range of cardiovascular conditions. The role includes echocardiography, exercise testing, ambulatory monitoring and involvement in interventional procedures where credentialled.

You will contribute to multidisciplinary discussions and help develop new cardiovascular services in Napier.

Qualifications

  • Hold vocational registration, or be eligible for vocational registration, in Cardiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • Be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or hold an equivalent recognised specialist qualification.
  • Have appropriate credentialling for any interventional or procedural work undertaken.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical quality and patient safety.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a professional, collegial approach.
  • Be interested in contributing to the growth and development of cardiovascular services in Hawke's Bay.

Working alongside the existing cardiology and clinical team, you will provide specialist assessment, investigation and management of patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
