Job summary

Christians Against Poverty New Zealand seeks a part-time CAP Money Coordinator to lead CAP Money, a budgeting programme that helps whānau gain control of finances. Based at CAP's Support office in Auckland, you will oversee data, coordinate training days and support coaches and partners.

You'll bring knowledge of personal finances, strong communication, and a genuine care for people, with a collaborative, Te Tiriti-honouring approach in a not-for-profit setting.

  • High attention to detail with prioritisation and time management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Autonomous and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of CAP Money, including compile and process electronic data and paperwork, and update the database.
  • Help coordinate CAP money training days.
  • Coordinate communications with church partners and CAP money coaches with professionalism.
  • Provide support and troubleshoot CAP Money problems.
  • Support CAP Money campaigns.
  • Oversee onboarding of new CAP Money Coaches.
  • Promote and communicate with CAP Money partners and supporters.

About the role

CAP is looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our dynamic and collaborative Partner Services and Support team. As the CAP Money Coordinator, you will lead CAP Money, which is a reputable and award-winning money management programme, teaching people budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that really helps anyone get more in control of their finances.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time role that offers 18.75 hours per week for 12-months based at CAP’s Support office in Auckland.

Key areas of responsibility
  • Provide oversight of CAP Money, including compile and process all electronic data and paperwork, set up new clients and ensure updating of database.
  • Help coordinate CAP money training days
  • Communicate with church partners and CAP money coaches, ensuring professionalism and clear and accurate advice is provided
  • Provide support and trouble-shooting for any CAP Money problems
  • Provide support for any CAP Money campaigns
  • Oversee onboarding of any new CAP Money Coaches
  • Promote and provide regular communications to CAP Money partners & supporters

Relevant experience
  • Knowledge of personal finances and budgeting.
  • Prior Customer service experience desirable, particularly in the financial sector desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail with excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Poficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent time-management and able to work autonomously
  • A genuine care for people, with a desire to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to work comfortably and well in an NFP organisation that seeks to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi in the way work is done.
  • A strong personal alignment with the foundational Christian philosophy, organisational identity, culture, and values of CAP
