Job description

Description

The Home for Little Wanderers' Walpole Campus, which comprises a private school and therapeutic residential programs, is seeking full-time morning Campus Coordinators. The Campus Coordinator is primarily responsible for supervising Residential Counselors, Supervisors, and the Activity Coordinator, coordinating work assignments, ensuring the safety of clients, ensuring campus homes run according to schedule with routine, ritual, and rhythm, and providing direct care. The schedule is 1pm-11pm Sunday-Wednesday.

How You'll Be Making a Difference
  • Work closely with the Program Director and Milieu Directors to ensure appropriate campus staffing coverage.
  • Hire, train, supervise, manage performance, and evaluate direct care staff. Mediate staff issues and employee conflicts. Host team meetings for staff and provide training and weekly supervision.
  • Plan and schedule therapeutic groups to enhance children's growth and development, and creatively plan social activities and special events.
  • Support individual cabin supervisors in implementing and managing daily activities for all residences, including medical appointments, recreational activities, transportation, homework, behavior support, chores, and room completion.
  • Provide, model, and supervise group and individual behavior support and intervention, including appropriate physical restraints as necessary, in keeping with TCI principles.
  • Ensure completion of all shift paperwork, including communication logs, daily logs, incident reports, mentor sheets, and behavior support monitoring.
  • Oversee the timely submission of records and documentation, and ensure staff are aware of activities from prior shifts.
  • Support Residential Supervisors in managing client belongings account sheets.
  • Work closely with Program Director and Milieu Directors to maintain structure and routines throughout the day.
  • Plan and schedule weekly circles designed to support youth growth and development.
  • Provide shift coverage as needed.
  • Assist in managing medical and emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • Equivalent to two years of college and/or two years of child care experience in a residential setting with a similar population.
  • Supervisory experience is helpful.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications.
