Job summary

Indie Campers is seeking a Campervan Mechanic for our Christchurch depot to maintain our fleet and support daily operations. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, heating, and water systems, and ensure campervans are ready for customers.

The role requires hands-on experience, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work weekends and holidays. English communication and teamwork are essential to keep our fleet in top condition.

Qualifications

• Education or certified training in mechanics, mechatronics or a similar automotive program.
• At least 1+ years of hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs experience – campervans a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree preferred.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver's License.
• English and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles; diagnose mechanical, electrical, heating, and water systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and light bodywork repairs.
• Coordinate with external partners; move vehicles between depots.
• Prepare vehicles for customers and assist with check-ins/check-outs; manage shipments and inventory.
