Job summary

Indie Campers is seeking a skilled Campervan Mechanic to join our Christchurch depot. You will maintain our fleet to the highest standards, enabling smooth operations and great customer experiences.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, coordinate with partners and regional teams, and support daily depot operations and guest check-ins/check-outs. Weekend and holiday availability is required, along with a valid driver's license and solid English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education or certified training in mechanics or mechatronics.
• ≥1 year hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs; campervans a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• English and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical, electrical, heating, and water systems.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, incl. preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Handle lightweight bodywork repairs and spare parts substitutions.
• Coordinate with external partners and regional teams for vehicle interventions.
• Prepare vehicles and equipment for customers; assist with check-ins/check-outs.
