Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a Café Assistant for the Rototuna village to deliver warm, friendly service and craft great coffee. You will help prepare cabinet food and light meals while ensuring a welcoming café environment for residents, families and visitors.

The role is casual and as-needed, with opportunities to grow in hospitality qualifications across the village team. Prior café experience and a positive attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or café experience.
• Superb barista skills.
• Warm, friendly personality with strong customer service.
• Excellent communication and multitasking ability.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and drinks to high standards.
• Provide outstanding barista services.
• Assist with catering for village events and functions.
• Handle cash and reconcile takings daily.
