Job summary

The Raspberry Café in Tai Tapu, Canterbury, invites applications for Café All-Rounders to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role covering coffee making, customer service and supporting daily cafe operations.

Qualifications

• Previous café, hospitality or customer service experience.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Barista experience or coffee handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Make coffees and other drinks (hot and cold).
• Take orders and provide friendly service.
• Deliver food and drinks to tables.
• Clear, clean and reset tables between customers.
• Operate till/POS and handle payments.
• Assist with dishes and general cleaning.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Support wider team during busy service.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be involved in different areas of our day-to-day café operations.

• Making coffees and other hot and cold drinks
• Taking customer orders and providing friendly, attentive service
• Running food and drinks to tables
• Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables
• Operating the till/POS and handling payments
• Assisting with dishes and general cleaning
• Helping with opening and closing duties
• Supporting the wider team during busy service

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have previous café, hospitality or customer service experience
• Have good customer service and communication skills
• Have barista experience or experience working with coffee
• Are friendly, reliable and have a positive attitude
• Work well as part of a team
• Are willing to help across different areas of the café when required
• Have good availability, including weekends and public holidays
