Qualifications

Cable Jointer Team Leader - Queenstown - Electricity Distribution Industry

$50-$54/hr + OT + Allowances + Benefits ++

We’re on the hunt for a Cable Jointer Team Leader to guide our (Queenstown) Frankton-based crew in the safe delivery of underground construction, maintenance, and fault response work. You'll oversee daily tasks and performance, ensuring work is done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. From training and mentoring, to high-voltage switching, jointing, and fault response, your technical know-how and calm leadership will keep things humming. Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential:

  • EWRB Registration and a current Practicing License as a Cable Jointer.
  • Full Class 1 NZ driver’s license.
  • 3+ years’ experience in distribution cable jointing (e.g., PILC, XLPE).
Desirable:
  • Class 4 NZ driver’s license.
  • Achievement in Unit Standards 10550, 20063 & 28281.
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or crew coordination experience.
  • Physically resilient and composed under pressure.
  • Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in the field.
