Sensient Technologies New Zealand is a fast growing business unit within the Sensient Flavours & Colours, Asia-Pacific Group. We provide quality food ingredients to our customers on a world-wide basis and are highly successful through our attention to customer service, creative technological innovation and product quality. We are currently seeking for a self-driven Buyer to be part of a member of the Purchasing Team. You will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective sourcing of the raw materials, finished goods, packaging and other supplies and services required for Sensient New Zealand to meet customer requirements.

As a key member of the Sensient team, you will be required to push boundaries and innovate onsite in the office, 5 days per week.

What you will do:

• Secure raw materials, equipment, or services as needed or requested for the operation.
• Managing suppliers and raw materials assigned.
• Manages Manage Resource Planning (MRP) settings to ensure optimal lead times and inventory levels, and to minimize redundant inventory.
• Completes receipting and costing of goods.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned to or required of the job.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/ equivalent work experience at a professional level required.
• Knowledge of accounting and inventory control.
• 3-5 previous experience in procurement preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One experience preferred.
