Job summary

PAK'nSAVE Tamatea in Napier is seeking a qualified butcher to join our growing, experienced team. You'll cut, trim, and present a wide range of quality meat products and provide knowledgeable, friendly service.

This permanent full-time role offers a 42-hour week, flexible for the right candidate, a supportive leadership group, and opportunities for development within a large Foodstuffs Cooperative store network.

Qualifications

• Qualified butchering experience required in a fast-paced retail or production environment.
• Strong knife skills and product knowledge.
• Commitment to quality, presentation and customer service.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present a wide range of meat products to the highest standard.
• Cut, bone, trim and value-add products for retail sale.
• Maintain displays and ensure product availability throughout the day.
• Provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge.
• Adhere to food safety and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals.

This is a permanent, full-time position working the following roster:

42 hours per week, although for the right candidate, we are flexible!

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing and presenting a wide range of quality meat products to the highest standard
• Cutting, boning, trimming, and value-adding products for retail sale
• Maintaining attractive displays and ensuring product availability throughout the day
• Providing outstanding customer service and product knowledge
• Ensuring Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are consistently met
• Working closely with the wider team to achieve departmental goals

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Butcher with relevant industry experience
• Strong knife skills and excellent product knowledge
