Job summary

GHD Advisory in Auckland or Wellington invites applications for a Business Group Leader – New Zealand / Pacific, to lead the Advisory team and drive growth across water, energy and urbanisation.

You will mentor and lead teams, partner with Project Managers to ensure exceptional client service and financial performance, and shape market strategies while maintaining safety and a high-performance culture in a hybrid workplace.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a business group or team leader role.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management across virtual teams.
• Experience in business development and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NZ Business Advisory team to deliver business results in accordance with the targets.
• Work with Project Managers and Project Directors to deliver superior client service and financial performance.
• Champion collaboration with Advisory BGLs and colleagues regionally to plan resources and deliver solutions.
• Coach and mentor the Business Group team including performance coaching.
• Support Team Leaders to engage and develop their teams for a high-performance culture.
• Support safety and well-being of GHD's people and visitors within the Business Group.
• Contribute to GHD's regional brand through collaboration with Marketing.
• Work with Technical Service Leaders to build capability for future growth.

Reporting to the APAC Business Advisory Leader, you willlead our Commercial, Asset Optimsation & Performance, Supply Chain&Logistics, Engagement&Communication, Risk & Assurance, and Sustainability New Zealand Pacific Business Advisory team.Pivotal to this will be todrive growth and development to support our client needs, with a focus on enhancing theseservice offerings and integrated solutions across theregion.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you:

Lead the NZ Business Advisory team to deliver business results in accordance with the agreed targets.

Work closely with Project Managers and Project Directors to deliver superior client service and financial performance that meets GHD's expectations and manage GHD's risks.

Champion and lead collaboration with Advisory BGLs and colleagues throughout the region and wider enterprise to effectively plan and resource projects and pursuits and deliver best in class solutions for our clients.

Coach and mentor the Business Group team including performance coaching.

Support and coach Team Leaders enabling them to engage and develop their teams to drive a high-performance culture.

Support the safety and well-being of GHD's people and visitors within the Business Group.

Contribute to GHD's brand in the in the region through collaboration with Marketing.

Work with Technical Service Leaders, develops short and long-term capability, informing the acquisition of skills to support future growth.

Work closely with the Regional Market Leaders and Sector Leaders to support the development and execution of market strategies and client pursuit plans.

What you will bring to the team:

Proven track record in a business group or team leader role and business consulting.

Strong leadership, people,and stakeholder management skills with experience leading virtual teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Effective and proven business development, networking and client relationship management skills.

Ability tothink strategically across market sectors while also managing day-to-day operations.

Experience in leveraging technology and innovation to drive growth.

Well-developed relational skills and strong personal/professional network

This role can be based in our Auckland or Wellington office.
