Who you are

You are a seasoned Business Development Manager who understands the complexity of the tech sector and enjoy the consultancy side of sales. You enjoy cultivating strong partnerships with your customers and are comfortable in driving new business both from hunting new opportunities and unearthing value in your existing portfolio. This role will be focus on the Auckland region, so we are looking for individuals who have a strong network of existing contacts they can leverage. Like the rest of our team, you are able to maintain exceptional relationship management skills with stakeholders at all levels and demonstrate the desire to mentor and grow the capabilities of the sales team.

What you will be doing
  • Generate new business opportunities by engaging with new and existing customers in accordance with our sales strategy.
  • Establish a compelling reason to partner with Provoke. Communicate Provokes’ service offerings, value proposition and engagement model to grow our reach and establish strong networks in the Auckland Region.
  • Own strategic account management activities by maintaining regular call cycles, account reviews, attend key project meetings and post project retrospectives to retain business in your portfolio.
  • Working closely with members of the Leadership Team and the broader Sales & Marketing Team to ensure the effective development and execution of customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Follow up quickly on requests for quotes, documents and keep accurate and detailed notes and records of customer interactions to support future grow opportunities.

What you need
  • 10+ years related sales experience.
  • Achievement of a relevant sales methodology certification.
  • Experience and exposure to core technologies products and services.
  • Exposure to relevant software development processes or methodologies.
  • Proven experience writing and responding to tender documents (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
  • An established customer and partner network within New Zealand.
  • Exposure to overseas sales processes in AU, US and UK is not essential but highly regarded.
  • A post-grad qualification in related disciplines is ideal, but not essential
  • An in-depth understanding of relevant project management methodologies.
  • Proven experience working with Agile and Scrum delivery frameworks.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft technologies.
  • Proven experience executing business transformation strategies.
