Ultradent Products Australia is recruiting a Territory Manager for New Zealand based in Auckland. You will own the NZ territory, grow the business across a broad product portfolio, and build strong relationships with surgeons, hospital stakeholders and private and public healthcare facilities.
The role focuses on hospital and private practice growth, clinical evaluations, product trials and adoption, with extensive travel across NZ and strong support throughout the customer journey.
You'll be responsible for developing and growing Samson Medical Technologies' business across New Zealand, representing a broad portfolio of specialist surgical, biologic and grafting products. You'll identify new business opportunities, develop existing accounts and establish strong relationships with surgeons, specialists, hospital stakeholders and other key clinical decision-makers across both the private and public healthcare sectors.
A significant component of the role will involve business development across hospitals and private practices. You'll work closely with surgeons and clinical teams to support product evaluations, trials, demonstrations and adoption while ensuring a high level of clinical and technical support throughout the customer journey.
As the primary representative for Samson Medical Technologies in New Zealand, you'll take ownership of the territory, develop and execute growth strategies, manage key accounts and provide regular market intelligence and commercial updates to management.
Develop and execute the New Zealand sales and business development strategy across Samson Medical Technologies' product portfolio.
Build and manage strong relationships with surgeons, specialists and key clinical stakeholders across Orthopaedics, ENT, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental.
Identify and develop new business opportunities across private and public hospitals, specialist practices and associated healthcare facilities.
Drive new product adoption through surgeon engagement, clinical evaluations, product trials and account development.
Provide high-quality clinical and technical support to surgeons and theatre teams before, during and following procedures.
Attend and support surgical procedures within hospital operating theatre environments where required.
Coordinate and deliver product demonstrations, clinical education, training sessions and workshops for surgeons and clinical teams.
Develop strong relationships with hospital procurement, theatre management and other relevant stakeholders involved in product evaluation and purchasing decisions.
Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying opportunities to expand product utilisation across additional surgeons, departments and specialties.
Research and analyse the New Zealand market to identify trends, competitors, clinical opportunities and areas for portfolio expansion.
Demonstrated experience in medical device, surgical, biologics or clinically focused healthcare sales and business development.
Strong clinical experience and confidence working directly with surgeons and clinical teams within hospital operating theatre environments is essential.
An established professional network within the New Zealand healthcare market, ideally spanning multiple specialties including Orthopaedics, ENT, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental.
A strong track record of developing surgeon relationships and successfully growing a territory, product portfolio or clinical market.
Ability to engage credibly with senior surgeons, specialists and other clinical stakeholders and develop trusted, long-term relationships.
Strong understanding of the hospital environment and the clinical, procurement and commercial processes involved in introducing and adopting new medical technologies.
Confidence providing procedural support, product demonstrations, clinical training and education.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, develop account strategies and convert clinical interest into sustainable commercial growth.
A current driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout New Zealand as required.
