Job summary

Lineage is expanding its New Zealand team and seeks a commercially minded Business Development Executive to strengthen customer relationships, identify opportunities and drive sustainable growth across cold storage and logistics operations.

This role focuses on developing opportunities, supporting customers, and partnering with operational leaders to deliver tailored supply chain solutions for long-term value.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development or sales.
• Proven ability to build long-term partnerships.
• Proficient in creating proposals and pricing.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage a portfolio of customers across New Zealand.
• Identify, pursue and secure warehousing and supply chain opportunities.
• Develop commercially competitive proposals, pricing models and solutions.
• Lead customer negotiations and support contract renewals and rate reviews.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to exceed customer expectations.

Business Development Executive

As we continue to expand our New Zealand business, we're looking for a commercially minded Business Development Executive to strengthen customer relationships, identify new opportunities and drive sustainable growth across our cold storage and logistics operations.

This role could be based in Auckland, Tauranga, Hawke's Bay or Christchurch and will focus on developing opportunities and supporting customers across New Zealand, partnering closely with operational leaders to deliver tailored supply chain solutions that create long‑term value for our customers and our business.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of customers while identifying and converting new business opportunities across New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Identifying, pursuing and securing new warehousing and supply chain opportunities
• Developing commercially competitive proposals, pricing models and solutions
• Leading customer negotiations and supporting contract renewals and rate reviews
• Working closely with operational leaders to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
• Monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for growth and innovation
• Maintaining an active pipeline through Salesforce CRM
• Providing strategic customer insights and market intelligence to the broader business
• Supporting initiatives focused on business growth, operational improvement and customer experience

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines strong commercial acumen with exceptional relationship‑building skills.

You’ll Ideally Bring

• Experience in business development, account management, sales or customer growth roles
• Exposure to logistics, warehousing, supply chain, transport or 3PL environments
• A customer‑first approach and proven ability to develop long‑term partnerships
• Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical thinking and the ability to make data‑driven commercial recommendations
• Experience preparing proposals, pricing solutions and business cases
• CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A proactive and self‑motivated approach to identifying opportunities and delivering results
