Tait Communications in Christchurch, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst & Systems Specialist (BASS) to support our SAP finance environment on a 12-month parental leave contract. You will work across Finance, ICT and business stakeholders to implement improvements and deliver insights.

The role combines SAP functional expertise, business analysis, and financial process improvement, with a focus on supporting transformations and delivering value across a global organisation.

Qualifications

• S/4HANA FICO functional expertise.
• Experience as Business Analyst in ICT/tech environment.
• Experience defining, documenting, and implementing business and system requirements.
• Strong process improvement and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience supporting or delivering finance systems projects.
• Ability to analyse complex financial and operational data.

We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst & Systems Specialist (BASS) to join our Finance team on a 12-month parental leave contract. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing our SAP finance environment while partnering with Finance, ICT, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions. This is a varied role that combines SAP functional expertise, business analysis, financial process improvement, and reporting. You'll help optimise systems and processes, support business transformation initiatives, and deliver insights that enable better business decision-making across a global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and continuously improve SAP financial systems.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements and translate them into effective solutions.

About You

You are an experienced Business Analyst with strong SAP Finance knowledge and a proven ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You're comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and thrive in environments focused on continuous improvement and change. With a curious mindset and strong analytical skills, you're able to simplify complex information, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver practical solutions that create real business value.

• Have S/4HANA FICO functional expertise
• Previous Business Analyst experience within an ICT or technology-enabled environment
• Experience defining, documenting, and implementing business and system requirements
• Strong process improvement and problem-solving capabilities
• Proven experience supporting or delivering finance systems projects
• Ability to analyse complex financial and operational data
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills
