Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their Data Squad, a group dedicated to making data accessible and usable for all approved users within the organisation. This team is at the forefront of developing user-friendly interfaces and ensuring that data governance and security standards are effectively applied across the organisation. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team's Governance Lead in gathering requirements and managing a comprehensive governance framework.*Suited to a Business Analyst with experience in data governance policy initiatives, including Governance & Privacy.*6-month contract*Auckland-based, with 2 days a week in the office

What you'll do:

• Support the Governance Lead in implementing and managing the data governance framework.
• Assist in executing governance policies, procedures, and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities for improving data governance processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to data governance activities.
• Provide administrative support for governance initiatives, including managing data risk assessments.

What you bring:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with business analysis techniques and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
• Experience with Agile ways of working.
• Background or previous experience working on Governance & Privacy initiatives.
