Job summary

MIT and Unitec are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join the Digital team in Auckland. You will work with stakeholders, project teams, and technical specialists to identify needs, analyse data, and drive organisation-wide improvement.

You will translate business needs into actionable user stories, develop dashboards, and support change activities in an Agile setting. A tertiary qualification and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven BA delivery of improvement, digital, or transformation projects.
• Qualifications in Business, IS, Data Analytics or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience writing user stories, process maps, and documentation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Proficient with Jira/Confluence tools.
• Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and inclusive practice.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical specialists to identify business needs, analyse data, improve processes, and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring our systems and services meet the evolving needs of our staff, learners, and communities.
