We are seeking an experienced and motivated Building Inspection Manager to join our Christchurch team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into an established leadership role, leading our Building Inspection team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and compliant building inspection services that meet legislative requirements, contractual obligations, and client expectations.
You will provide leadership, guidance, and technical support to our team of Building Control Officers (Inspectors), fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service. A key focus of the role is ensuring inspection activities are delivered efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality assurance, audit readiness, and compliance with the Building Act, the Solutions Team Quality Management System, and IANZ accreditation requirements.
Beyond day-to-day operational leadership, you will be responsible for developing technical capability within the team through coaching, mentoring, and professional development. You will oversee workload planning and resource allocation to ensure inspection services are delivered effectively and within agreed service levels while maintaining strong relationships with Building Consent Authorities and other key stakeholders.
As a member of the leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic direction and continued success of Solutions Team. You will use operational insights and performance data to drive improvements, support business objectives, enhance client outcomes, and ensure Solutions Team continues to be a trusted provider of building inspection services across New Zealand.
