Overview

Brush Hand – Are you an experienced brush hand looking for your next opportunity? We’re seeking reliable, skilled workers to join a great team on a range of painting and finishing projects around Dunedin. If you take pride in quality workmanship and are ready to start immediately, we want to hear from you.

Location: Dunedin City

Start date: Immediate start available

Pay rate: $28–30 per hour (paid weekly)

You’ll be responsible for
  • Preparing, priming, sanding, sealing, and painting surfaces, furniture, buildings, and fixtures
  • Applying a range of materials including varnish, lacquer, enamel, latex, epoxy, and waterproofing finishes
  • Working on new builds, multi-story sites, renovations, and alterations
  • Using and maintaining brushes, rollers, sprayers, and soda blasting equipment
  • Taping, flushing, repairing, and applying textured finishes, wallpaper, and acoustic layers
  • Adjusting paint colours and delivering a high-quality finish across various projects
To be successful in this role, you’ll need
  • Relevant experience as a brush hand or painter
  • NZ Painting Qualification preferred
  • A current Site Safe ticket (or willingness to get one)
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional finish
  • Your own basic painting tools
  • Your own transport to get to site
