Join our Media team and bring the thrill of live racing to thousands across New Zealand and Australia. As a Broadcast Control Room Operator, you’ll be at the heart of the action in our Master Control Room - keeping Trackside Media broadcasts seamless, collaborating with live AU streaming channels, exciting television viewers, and delivering when every second counts. You’ll also grow your career across broadcast operations, production, and technical services, supported by a fast-paced, passionate team.

A Day in the Life

Based in our Auckland office, you’ll be at the centre of a fast-moving, live-event operation. This role offers variety, energy, and the chance to make an impact across weekdays, weekends, evenings, and occasional public holidays. Here’s a snapshot of your day:

  • Coordinate with Producers, Directors, OB teams, and external providers.
  • Prepare transmission schedules, commercial logs, and broadcast graphics.
  • Line up, coordinate, and monitor domestic and international broadcast circuits.
  • Perform quality control to ensure error-free transmissions.
  • Maintain media servers, archives, and FTP systems.
  • Generate shift reports and escalate technical issues promptly.
Your Strengths
  • Broadcasting experience or a qualification in a similar field.
  • Skilled in live broadcast operations, keeping everything seamless on-air.
  • Calm under pressure, delivering when the countdown clock is on.
  • Sharp eye for detail - ensuring graphics, sound, and coverage are flawless.
  • Strong communicator, collaborating and solving problems quickly.
  • Adaptable, independent team player thriving in a fast-paced environment.
