Job summary

SRG Global is seeking casual Refractory Bricklayers to support the Refractory Installation team during maintenance shutdowns at the NZ Steel site in Glenbrook, South Auckland. Aompetitive wages and overtime rates are offered, with a focus on safety and high standards.

Pre-employment medical testing and legal right to work in NZ are required. Ideal candidates have bricklaying qualifications or relevant experience, and are willing to work overtime, weekends, and away from home.

Qualifications

• Bricklaying trade qualification or demonstrated experience (refractory installation preferred).
• Familiar with different refractory installations.
• Able to work in a team or autonomously.
• Commitment to Health and Safety standards.
• Good fitness and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and own transport.
• Flexible availability including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform refractory bricklaying and installation tasks at NZ Steel site during shutdowns.
• Work safely and follow site procedures.
• Coordinate with team to meet maintenance timelines.
• Be available for overtime and away-from-home work as required.

Job Description - Bricklayer/Installer

We are currently seeking casual Refractory Bricklayers to join our Refractory Installation team during maintenance shutdowns at NZ Steel site in Glenbrook, South Auckland. SRG Global provide Refractory Installation services to major industries throughout the country.

Applicants should ideally have:

• A bricklaying trade qualification or demonstrated experience, preferably with refractory installation
• Familiarity with different types of refractory installations
• The ability to work within a team or autonomously
• A willingness to meet a high standard of Health and Safety compliance
• A good level of fitness
• Good communication skills
• A current driver's license and own transport
• Flexible availability (overtime, weekends and overnight jobs away from home)
